What comes to mind when you hear Serbia? For those who are not familiar with the Balkan region, Serbia is more often than not confused with Siberia and Syria. But once one get a chance to know and see Serbia, they see the endearing and charming side of this underrated tourist destination.
The capital and most visited part of the country is Belgrade. Belgrade is the home of Kalemegdan Fortress, Cathedral of Saint Sava, Knez Mihailova and many other attractions which are more popular to travelers. Unknown to many, Serbia boasts of a lot more beauty.
From the monasteries, the old buildings which survived trials of the past to the the relaxing and calm view from it’s mountains, the healing properties of it’s natural spas, the free picnics on it’s many different lakes, the hefty serving of every Serbian meal, and most of all , the warm welcome of the locals.
